Presently, whenever and wherever any debacle breaks out related to Democracy, an image comes of India spontaneously in one's mind and being the largest living democracy in the world we also feel a sense of pride in it.
But in recent times many pandits argue about this type of governance being the most effective n refined version of modern governments especially for the highly diversified and populated country like India. After facing such a tragic and tyrant present situation our motherland really needs some reformatory changes.
The biggest advantage of a democratic government is considered to be that power is not concentrated only in few hands but amongst each and every single individual of nation.
But is it really so, does everyone enjoys equal rights here in India?
It is not a very difficult quarry watching most of our politicians including certified robbing elites like Mayawati whose sandals come from Mumbai to Lucknow from a charted plane. Legit?? or should i precise it as a shocking-funny-bitter but a true scenario.
So, we are the proud owners of a Democratic multi-party system where every minor group can raise their voice by electing their own representative to the parliamentary house, sounds good know?
But isnt it the galactic reason of wide-spreading differences among the different communities of India, be it the Bodo leader who emphasizes the communal riots in North-East obligating millions of people to go homeless,
or Mr fearless-shameless-merciless RAJ THAKREY whose only motive seems to be following the british sowed policy of "Divide and Rule" who has annexed the power to an extent where he continuously delivers public speeches against north Indians and yet no one can even dare to touch him.
I doubt if the founders of this set of governance ever imagined such barbarous fruits.
And then on just another pole i watch such mind-freaking cases.
And it is this "Government of the people, by the people, for the people" where civilians like her faces such havoc's.
Horrendus! Isn't it?
Wait.... there's more on the other side of coin, on a very contrary node,
Doesn't the parliamentary process of discussing which is no longer seems to be left for discussing the nationwide concerned issues but to tickle out the cons of the oppositions parties and effects the working efficiency of a government, and hence the mainstream growth of the country as the most important decisions take a complete era to be finalized.
In fact, these days neither the government nor the opposition seems to be interested in any type of discussions or debates, instead they find it easy to just forbid the complete sessions for their selfish reasons and wreak the nation interest completely (The most recent example is the as usual dirty politics going on coal-gate, the worst part being the demand of shutting down and cancelling all the coal mine licenses and ignoring the fact how adversely it would effect the energy resources of the country which directly would be corresponding to its economic growth ).
And these day, it is being observed that there's no one who actually cares to listen what does a common man wants, instead an ill potitics always grows round there.
For instance I remember when this year's railway budget was announced, majority of people seemed to be happy for the steps being taken to upgrade the conditions of our trains and there were no such hard feelings for the nominal rise of ticket-fares but our loving mamata didi (don't know why) but couldn't accept those measures being taken and rest we all know.. Railway minister (no matter if he belongs to his own party) was replaced.
And as if this much is not enough, there is another phase which adds up all, ie a small segment of our media who under the flag of Right to speech, Right to express and Right to freedom does every possible stupidity to misguide and provoke people, and shows utter irresponsibilities towards thier Fundamental duties of being the awared and responsible citizens.
Yesterday i was in a discussion with a flock of people who were fractionally amused and shocked that why do India doesn't have any significant role in the International polity?
And then i got an answer that India is so very much engaged with its domestic issues be it the dirty politics or the corruption or communal riots or some activist movements, how can we concentrate on what is happening in the outside world if we are just too much occupied and obsessed in all these menacing actions.
It is really a shame, that, today many people doesn't find either way any better option to choose their representatives no matter who is the ruling party, they all are corrupt.
On the other hand,
If we see China- the most populous communist country in the world,
its ok if the people their enjoy relatively lesser Rights but today everybody accepted that China is growing at an stupendous rate is recognised as a global power.
How is it possible that two countries who started thier journey at nearly same time being more or less in similar situation, and today one of them went approximately 2 decades ahead of the latter one?
Is it the difference in the forms of Government they persist?
